About Eurasia-Pacific Uninet

The network was founded in the year 2000 and is strongly supported by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research and the Austrian Exchange Service (OeAD-GmbH).
With a total of 130 member institutions in Austria, China, Mongolia, Nepal, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation, Bhutan, India, Nepal, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Republic of Korea, the network promotes multilateral scientific cooperation,  joint research projects, conferences as well as faculty and student exchange.
Eurasia-Pacific Uninet is the largest sovereign university network of its kind within Europe.

Association for the Support of Eurasia-Pacific Uninet


In March 2006, the Federal Ministry for Education, Science and Culture, together with the Agency for International Cooperation in Education and Research of the Austrian Exchange Service (ÖAD), established the Association for the Support of Eurasia-Pacific Uninet.

The board members of the association are Univ. Prof. Dr. Brigitte Winklehner, president of Eurasia-Pacific Uninet and Univ. Prof. Dr. Sigurd Höllinger, representative of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Science and Culture.
